Razor A Series Kick Scooters

Razor A Series Kick Scooters- Different Types And What Makes them Different

Whether you are looking to buy something for your little kiddo, your teenager, an officemate, a neighbor, or even yourself, you cannot go wrong with the Razor A Series Kick Scooters.  From the original Razor A to all the different models in the line, these kick scooters have been a total hit from the first time they came out.  It is no wonder that their take on this classic is a bestseller, has won a couple awards, and was even dubbed “Toy of the year”.

So if you want to get in on the craze, here are the different Razor A Series Kick Scooters-the original A, the A2, the A3 and the A5 Lux.  Check out the features, similarities, and differences of each to help you find just what you are looking for.

Similarities:

Let’s start with what they all have in common.  So here are the similarities among the Razor A Series Kick Scooters.

All of them are have aircraft-grade aluminum t-tubes and decks.  From the looks if it, and even the way it sounds, you can be pretty sure that all of them are very stable and durable.  You are sure to get a lot of years out of these rides.

Also, they all have patented rear fender breaks (U.S. Patent No. 6,139,035), as well as the patented folded mechanism (U.S. Patent No. 6,431,567 & 7,063,341,B2).  Regarding the brakes, just grip on to the hand held clutch and you will come to a halt.  As for the folding mechanism, this makes storage a breeze- no need for a wide garage to keep these babies.

All of the Razor A Series Kick Scooters also have urethane wheels that are fully equipped with ABEC-5 bearings.  Basically, what these kinds of wheels do is that they make riding around as smooth as possible.  Now that is definitely something you want in a scooter.

Finally, all of them have adjustable handle bars.  This is great because this scooter can actually keep up with a growing child.

Differences:

So now that you know how all are similar, here are a couple of things that make them different.  I’m not only referring to the model name.

Let’s start with the original A.  Probably the main difference is that this has 98mm wheels.  The A2 is pretty much you’re a but this has front suspension as well as a wheelie bar.  The A3 on the other hand is pretty much your A2 but with wider wheels- 125mm.  But all three are great for kids 5 and up and have the same weight limit- 143 lbs.

The A5 Lux has the thickest wheels of all- 200mm wheels.  Plus, this is for older kids, 8 and above and has a higher weight limit of 220 lbs.

One last difference among the Razor A Series Kick Scooters is of course the price.  Just like practically anything else, the higher up the model goes, the higher up the cost.

So the A is the base model you could say. The others are adaptions and improvements on the A. With this said, the Razor A kick scooter still seems to be one of the most popular push scooters around. The combination of price and quality design seem to make it a winner.

Kick scooters are a popular toy for kids but if you really want to to spoil them then an electric scooter is a real treat. Razor also make a large selection of electric scooters, including the popular Pocket Mod Scooter.
